Housing is made of two aluminum hemispheres butt made with rubber parts remain airtight, internal filled with 0.12 MPa (1.3 atm) of dry nitrogen. The lower shell surface is a heat radiation surface of the control system; plus a top half-shell outside the insulating layer. Installing the battery pack within the housing, a radio transmitter, thermal control system components, switching elements, temperature and pressure sensors. Battery set comprises three silver-zinc battery. In the center of the rectangular tank battery pack work alternately placed two radio transmitters, operating frequencies were 20.005 and 40.002 MHz. 4 whip antenna weight 8.4 kg, length 2.4 to 2.9 m.
